The thing is, where do you want to be? This table is a lot better than el-cheapo POS tables with MDF beds and particle board in structural parts, basically anything that would be under $1,800 new today.
So it can't be moved without wrecking the old cloth. There's nothing to staple the cloth to, so it has to be glued to the slate. Is it an experienced independent local mechanic, or is it the seller who's going to do it himself? In the former case it makes the deal better, in the latter case it doesn't.īTW, the reason you have to replace the cloth is that the Bristol has 3/4-inch unbacked slate. Yeah but it entirely depends on who's doing the work.
